YOUTH MENTOR — SAN FRANCISCO, CA

Mentor youth within the San Francisco foster care system with the goal of restoring a person’s sense of worth, value, and self. Braid is a non-profit organization whose intergenerational mentoring program is designed to support Bay Area youth who have experienced life in the foster care system.

Crisis Communications – Hurricane Harvey — AUSTIN, TX

Assisted at the Homeland Security and Emergency Management's Emergency Operations Center during Hurricane Harvey. Served as a lead communications coordinator for media requests, public information, web updates and social media. Coordinated interviews with officials to provide timely information regarding hurricane relief efforts within the City of Austin and Travis County. Wrote and disseminated press releases to local and national media.

Disaster RelieF – 2015 Memorial Day Floods — SAN MARCOS, TX

Volunteered with AmeriCorps to aid flood relief victims after the 2015 Memorial Day Floods in San Marcos, TX. Removed dry wall, flood debris, cleaned affected units and treated for mold.
